Publication Ethics

ISRI Press is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics. All parties — authors, editors, and reviewers — share responsibility for upholding these standards.

A Author Responsibilities

Originality & Plagiarism

Authors must ensure submitted work is entirely original. Any material derived from other works must be properly cited. Plagiarism in any form — including self-plagiarism — constitutes unethical publishing behaviour and is unacceptable.

Data Integrity

Authors must accurately present research data and results. Data fabrication, falsification, or selective omission of results are serious ethical violations subject to retraction and institutional reporting.

Authorship Criteria

Authorship should be limited to those who made a significant intellectual contribution. Guest, gift, or ghost authorship is prohibited. All listed authors must approve the final manuscript before submission.

Conflict of Interest

All funding sources and potential conflicts of interest must be disclosed, including financial relationships, employment, or personal interests that may appear to influence results.

Multiple Submissions

Submitting the same manuscript simultaneously to more than one journal is prohibited. Authors must confirm the manuscript is not under consideration elsewhere at time of submission.

E Editorial Responsibilities

Fair & Impartial Review

Editors evaluate manuscripts solely on academic merit — without regard to authors' race, gender, nationality, religious beliefs, or institutional affiliation. All submissions receive fair and impartial consideration.

Confidentiality

Editors and reviewers must treat all submitted manuscripts as confidential documents. No information about a submission may be shared with, or used by, anyone other than those involved in the review process.

Disclosure & Conflicts

Editors must recuse themselves from decisions on manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest arising from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships with the authors.

Corrections & Retractions

When ethical violations are confirmed, the journal will publish corrections, clarifications, or retractions as required. We adhere to COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines in all matters.

Reviewer Obligations

Reviewers must identify relevant published work not cited by authors, alert editors to conflicts of interest, and provide honest, constructive, and timely assessments of each submission.

We hold ourselves to the highest standard of publication ethics, recognising that scholarly publishing is built on the bedrock of trust between researchers, reviewers, editors, and the wider academic community.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about authorship, submission requirements, and the editorial process at ISRI Press.

Who is eligible to submit a manuscript to this journal? +
Any researcher, academic, or practitioner may submit. We welcome submissions from both established scholars and early-career researchers. There are no institutional affiliation requirements. Authors from low-income countries may apply for APC waivers.
Can I submit a paper that was previously presented at a conference? +
Yes, provided the conference paper has not been formally published in a proceedings journal. Authors must disclose prior presentation and ensure the submitted version is substantially expanded (typically 30% or more new material).
How do I remove my author details for blind review? +
Remove your name, institutional affiliation, and any self-identifying references from the manuscript body and file metadata. Submit author details only on the title page, which is separated before the manuscript is sent to reviewers.
What happens after I receive reviewer comments? +
You will receive a decision letter (Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject) with detailed reviewer feedback. Revision responses must be submitted within 30 days and should include a point-by-point response document.
